First released in 1972, the Nike Cortez was designed by Bill Ballman, co-founder of Nike, and has been a hot shoe since its inception. To celebrate Cortez’s 50th anniversary in 2022, Nike teamed up with one of its strongest partners, SACAI, to incorporate a two-layer design similar to the LD Waffle, Blazer, and VaporWaffle collaboration.
