Adidas officially appoints former PUMA CEO Bjorn Gulden as the brand’s new CEO

Following the first rumors, today Adidas announced the official appointment of PUMA CEO Bjorn Gulden as its new CEO. The position will take effect on January 1 next year, replacing the current CEO Kasper Rorsted, who left his term earlier.

Bjorn Gulden has been CEO of PUMA since 2013 and was senior vice president of apparel and accessories at Adidas from 1992 to 1999.

As a result, he knows the industry very well and has extensive connections in sports and retail. Bjorn Gulden has been with Adidas for 7 years since the 1990s. As CEO of PUMA, he revitalized the brand and led the company to record results.” Thomas Rabe, chairman of the Adidas Supervisory Board, said, “We are convinced that Bjorn Gulden will lead the brand into a powerful new era.”
